Still time to enter! This free, virtual race with an outstanding field will be conducted in accordance with covid-19 restrictions via Zoom apps.
Gary (Lazarus Lake) Cantrell is honorary RD, twitter legend SteelTownRunner is promoting it, so it can’t be all bad!
Anyway, just googled it. It starts Saturday & I’m trying to get some links going. It will be on YouTube reportedly.
The virus has defended well, but here’s where we dunk all over him, baby!
LRC Note: Here is LRC's article with all the details

Seems like an epic opportunity to post unbelievable ultra performances
Kelly Agnew and Rob Young - where are you?
Thanks, Wyman, now it will be easier to check their resumes.
Still some titanic figures in it, obviously.
Rojo,
You'll only hear sound if someone's talking (their square will turn green).
Otherwise, most talking (with organizers) is in the last 5-8 minutes before the next hour, when the organizers are giving logistics instructions, if needed.
Down to about 17 runners in the 35th hour (if I have my math right).
Robert Young would dust these slow pokes and make it look like they were in an amateur hour. His run across America attempt was outstanding. As a side note the sleep deprivation may be the worst part.
You missed a Michael: Michael Owen
After recent drops, i think we're here:
alex fenn
anna carlsson
bob hearn
gabe rainwater
greg armstrong
harvey lewis
james baetz
john cash
jon noll
kevin baratta
mark manz
matt sheppard
matthieu weiner
Michael Owen
michael wardian
radek brunner
scott martin
Gabe Rainwater won the Ohio version last year where Michael Owen was the race director.
Start of yard 35 16 runners:
alex fenn
anna carlsson
bob hearn
gabe rainwater
greg armstrong
harvey lewis
james baetz
john cash
jon noll
mark manz
matt shepard
matthieu weiner
michael owen
michael wardian
radek brunner
scott martin
Recent drop outs: sarah moore, keshav manik tali, kevin baratta
Harvey Lewis also an Ohioan!!
How many of these runners could WALK a loop in an hour? You could fuel while you are doing the loop. I hiked the last 25 miles of a 50 mile race right at that pace. (6 hours).

Matt Shepherd is amazing, he is essentially running around a table or three.
I'm a fan. He's become the one I'm cheering for. The coffee shop he's at is in the middle of BFE Alberta, so presumably he could go outside and not be near a soul (aside from the sub-zero temps).
Anyone heard how many laps he has to get to bag his 4.17 miles each hour?
Props to the organizers on this. I did this event and didn’t think it would be so fun and well organized. The technology seems to have worked really well and it might just be the perfect format for a virtual run, with breaks to let people frequently connect online, discuss etc.
My first time doing an ultra and was definitely a gem amongst a barren wasteland of quarantine running and lack of human connection. I’d do it again and in person also.
I guess now it’s no longer about the running or even the fueling. Sleep has to be the driver at this point, no?

Haha he said it was snowing sideways all day, so he was grateful to have the coffee shop ?
64 laps to a 1600 in there ?, so 268.44 laps every hour ?. Legend.
So, I’ve been rooting for Matt (Coffee shop guy) and Greg.
But Wardian has to be the favorite at this point, right?

He has surpassed living room guy in legendary status at this point, no mean feat (feet).
Bob Hearn is out, down to 15.

Oh, 100% ? He was way fun too, though.
But just imagine doing 9,400 laps around a coffee shop. Incredible?

They retired from the sport of cheating after letsrun was so mean to them.

4.1 miles in one hour sounds a lot easier than it actually is. Especially after 24 hours into the whole thing.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
