Spain, who is the only western european country to have banned outdoor physical activities and running, is seeing a record 913 deaths for yesterday.
It proves that running alone is not a risk and should be allowed everywhere.

If I was in Spain I'd just run in a park and wouldn't let people see me or be near me. I would hide behind bushes and run away if I saw the rozzers
OP has already had one thread pulled this morning. He complained and they just cancelled his ticket lol.
Just spoke to some people in Israel and they said there you're not allowed to exercise either unless it's like going back in forth in front of your own house. This was from a guy not living in a major city.
From talking to him, I think the concern isn't really people exercising but rather people not following the rules. If there are more blanket bans in place and you see someone they'd better be on their way to the grocery.
Nothing I've seen indicates that outdoor solo exercise is a way to spread this disease. The one thing people are doing in my town is exercising outside, keeping appropriate distance from what I can tell.
Agree, sadly rules are broken. Cyclists normally adopt a peloton, so they find it especially difficult. Also, we need role models & good examples. If locking down certain areas works, people are afraid it will become more common, so in some respects they undermine the rules.

Well that’s because people who are big into cycling are almost always douche bags. They’re not worried about anyone else.
I’m on a mission to be fair & measured in my posts; as you can see it is not easy.
Perhaps I can say as a Protestant, that several Jews have changed my life for the better. For instance in high-school theatre, both my directors were Jewish, they were good directors & wise mentors.
I can’t stand all of you unregistered posters who read the same articles on the same internet we all have access to and think that since you took two biology classes in college you are registered epidemiologists.

In UK people are actually encouraged by going out and exercise, provided one keeps 2m away from everyone else (unless with a member of the same family/household). This from the chief medical guys in the country. The official position here is that is far more likely to get this thing indoors when you have direct contact with people. Plus you can get an immune booster by being outside etc.... Just common sense and people have been following social distancing well for most part. The running community cant complain so far (empty roads to run in etc)
** Encouraged TO go out and....

This is not how proof works.
Baba Yaga,
You seem to be taking advantage of Spain’s tragedy as a nation, to make a minor point about running. Your attitude seems unhealthy & inappropriate & disproportional. Spain is considered a land of great weather, beaches, and parties. It has great access to high mountains for skiing & hiking. Its economy is dependent on these things, why would they institute harsh measures for no reason?
Do you think they are incapable of governing themselves?

Seriously, nobody is this dumb. You're just a troll. But don't worry, brojos won't ban you.
Hate to tell you, but... nobody is taking lessons from the UK on how to deal with this. When it's all said and done, UK will be the second worst developed country on dealing with this crisis.

I am not "taking advantageé of Spain's situation. I am making one observation. The only western country which has banned outdoor exercise even for people who are doing it alone, is the worst hit country, if we are judging per capita.
Banning running is stupid, has no scientific explanation, and is also completley pointless in the fight against the epidemie. It's just a mean to control people minds and activities. Spain is turning into a police state and is completely failing against the virus.
I think that their governement is compltely inept. They also had 3 general elections in one year which show they have a big problem with their politics.
You are correct. The more outdoor activity people get, the quicker the virus disappears. Obviously it is harder to transmit airborne outdoor than indoor and UV kills it so it less likely to be transmitted from surfaces outdoor.
My observation of Spain granted I didn't follow it completely is that a lot of their people were very inept and selfish. They were worse than the people in the US going to Florida for spring break. Even on the news in the Midwest there was people from Spain on TV talking about how they didn't care. They couldn't get it. Spain's numbers were directly impacted by a these people. Spain locked down after the spread occurred.
Also locking down after the spread occurs guarantees more spread and deaths once they have to isolate in homes with the rest of their families.
I read a guy from NY locked his kid out after a fun filled trip. Good for him.
