22,000 Americans have died of the flu since September for an average of 125 per day. Covid-19 killed 225 Americans yesterday, and that number is still trending upwards rapidly (155 so far today, with the day not yet finished and reports still to come in). 7 days ago was the first day that more than 23 Americans died in one day due to Covid-19, so it seems that this daily count will go much higher. On a global scale, the daily Covid-19 death count is several days from eclipsing the number of deaths due to the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks -- to date the greatest loss of life in a terrorist attack -- every single day (2381 yesterday and climbing rapidly, vs. 2996 deaths on 9/11). Discuss.
