Amazon announced earlier this week that it would start prioritizing the most in-demand essential items in its warehouses, as the e-commerce giant struggles to keep up with customer demand during the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic.
Now the other shoe has dropped.
On Sunday, customers and Amazon merchants posted on social media platforms saying certain nonessential items were showing April 21 delivery dates, even though they were listed as in-stock and shipping with Amazon’s Prime express shipping service. During normal times, Amazon Prime deliveries typically arrive in one or two days in the US. Now, some Prime deliveries for in-stock items are showing five-day delivery promises on the lower end, but those waits are as long as a month on some items.
Massive Delay! Amazon Prime a MONTH behind shipping for tons of iems!!

Say it with me....Global Pandemic
I applaud Amazon for prioritizing essential items during this time when so many people are being asked to shelter in place. So you can't get your new Nike joggers for a month from Amazon, cry me a river, right? It does suck, but they are doing the right thing. -
They give you easy cancel options. Nothing to cry about.

People, just stop buying s hit!

I am a professional Amazon seller. What I can telly you is that Amazon is ranking customers right now... the higher the rank the faster you will get your stuff. You seeing that delay means you're not a very valuable CUS to The River.

You are a professional Amazon seller? How does this work? You have inventory at Amazons warehouse?
Explain? -
I ordered six computers yesterday through Amazon.
They arrived today. -
my business isn't as big as Amazon, but the system at Amazon kind of sucks rn if it's based on ranking
-
also I used to use a packaging company that delivers literally everywhere, I don't know whats up with bigger business but they also ranked my clients "bottom shelf" so I started using local for each area - small but they got my back (bit.ly)

I don't even belong to Amazon Prime--I just order stuff as a regular customer. I've ordered several "non-essential" items over the past few weeks and all have been delivered in less than a week, including some Sunday deliveries of items with free shipping. No complaints from my end.

The original post was 8 months ago. Since that time the supply of iems has been replenished. Thousands of tons of iems have been produced and we are very near having a surplus of iems. While that is a benefit to the consumer with the price of iems falling rapidly, the iems producers will experience a rapid decline in profitability in the near future.

lol just saw my error, I meant to talk about the local FULFILLMENT SERVICES, not packaging, the ranking system is very fair and follows the orders according to date and time. My customer orders are always on time and come in excellent condition, I highly recommend them as a business owner (https://bit.ly/3gLKTYd)
