Who would win in an 800 meter race?
a marathoner vs a 400 runner, hmmm, i wonder
Even though the original poster is being stupid by beginning this thread, I'll play the game.
Cox has run 51 for 400 and has great natural endurance, so he might be able to go as fast as 1:49-1:50. That wouldn't be easy for Wariner, even as fast as he is, because 1:45-1:50 of all-out running is uncharted territory for him. He'd win, but I think he'd have to work for it.
These threads, in general, though, are stupid and draw all sorts of ridiculous replies.
i didn't realize Cox had run 51, i bet he could take Wariner. that 3rd 200 would hurt really really bad for Wariner.
Does Josh Cox still run?
Josh Cox could not run 149.
Wariner could not run 149 either.
good god, 1:49? so you think every high school kid who can run :51 in a quarter and can also run a good mile can go sub-1:50?
i've known plenty of kids who could run :51 and 4:teens and they couldn't run under 1:55.

not every high school kid has also run a 2:13 marathon (or whatever his PR is)
so, basically this isn't Amby Burfoot we're talking about. If a guy with that much endurance can also run a 51, then i'd bet he could be around 1:49
just checked, Cox's PR is 2:13:55

man that's a slow 800
let me tell you something. Josh has much better hair than Jeremy and would be MUCH better looking in a candy apple red TT.
