I find this hard to believe that all these people are sticking to only running inside.

Not sure what you are talking about or where you heard this?
So I’m getting it from the credible source of instagram. Nike seems to have created a marketing add to train inside. Look at Mo’s page, Engles, etc

Another great idea by nike, Profiting off of an epidemic. Good call guys!
Ok so this is definitely BS. Camille Herron is an ultra runner. No way she’s staying indoors. She’s ran 100 mile weeks for years. If this post doesn’t get traction, I’m cracking another beer
I’d rather see what Nike athletes are doing indoors than to keep watching TV ads for the Shriners Childrens Hospital. Good for Nike motivating people to get off the couch.
It’s a mixed bag. I’m just saying unless you’re a lunatic no one is logging 50+ mile weeks on the treadmill. I mean it’s legit every Nike athlete posting the same thing. It’s funny because I’m a serious climber and the community is up in arms whether you should climb outside or not during these times. Like you could get hurt, waste a hospital bed but to legit not run seems insane and the ad that Nike has put out alludes that all these athletes will hunker down inside and do burpees to maintain fitness.
You are reading something into it that was never actually stated.
Damn. Put in my place. But still, misleading.
Have you never heard of cross training? Nike isn’t saying don’t exercise or run outdoors. Of course athletes are still running outside, while respecting social distancing (shame on those getting large groups together and not social distancing). The campaign is showing what Nike athletes do indoors too, to motivate those who are spending more or all time indoors to get off the couch and move. Surely there’s things you can do indoors to supplement your climbing outdoors.
Damn. Just getting flexed on left and right. I’m just saying the post totally seems like that they will only train inside for the time being and I’m calling bullshit on that. I totally get the two comments prior that I’m interpreting this wrong to a degree. And yes you don’t have to climb outside to stay strong. Climbing gyms are closed. You can hangboard. I have a base of 18 years so that helps. My first post on here and I’m roasted. I envisioned this much differently in my mind. I should’ve opened up with no one on this board has ever climbed V13 and broken 3 hours in a marathon, I’m putting money on that. Same year to boot you noobs.

No one cares how well you can climb, and unless you’re a woman no one cares that you can run a 3 hr marathon.
And towards your other point, many people run >50 miles a week (>70 for that matter) on a treadmill, myself included at times. As many people have mentioned, the nike athletes aren’t actually doing that, but they very easily could.
Tough crowd. This is why I went like 15 years without posting on here. Everyone is legit bitter as hell. Can’t hack it on this forum. Should’ve remained anonymous and scrolled

You should be roasted. Twisting something into something else is exactly what's wrong with this message board and social media. People can do things indoors too, in addition to running outdoors. That's the message.
The crags should only be for climbers who have climbed for over 40 years with no accidents ;)
Can't hang with mr. V13 though, only 2:38 and 5.13d, and not even the same year. Just glad for 28 years of 13b or better and zero injuries :)
I would LOVE to be running inside. Running outside in Ohio SUCKS. Today was 32° and snow flurries with a windchill of 22°. Yesterday was 60° with 20-40 mph winds. Day before I had a 2 hour window between downpours.
I've been averaging around 60 mpw for the last 4 months all inside on the treadmill except 2 races in Florida, a race in Tennessee, and 3 other days outside when I was in Florida.
Training is MUCH easier inside during the winter and I don't have a ton of clothes to wash.
This is very impressive man. Not to be a complete turd but people on this board have 0 clue what it takes to climb at that level and I ran a 2:55. If you don’t mind me asking where have you climb 13d? You’ll love this; I’ve climbed 120+ V10s outside and zero 5.13s, you’d hate me.
there are a lot more climbers on letsrun than you’d think. Just usually they don’t come here and brag about it
Finally made it to the front page. Sorry to offend anyone here. I was just trying to say that as a runner and I don’t attest to be as good as the majority of people on this board, I’d find it very hard to believe that very elite runners are sticking to running indoors unless extreme measures were in place. I understand that you can workout indoors without necessarily running. Who knows, this may be in the future for all of us.
I brought climbing into the post because that’s what I am and have been so for quite some time. Huge fan of the site and this brings a lot of joy to my life and I want to keep it that way.
you didn't offend anyone; you're just being absurd. an encouragement to "play inside" on a couple of instagram pages doesn't mean every nike athlete is training 100% inside for the next 6 months.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
