The Hanson brothers do not get enough love for all they've done for the sport. Keep it up guys.

Awesome story.
Drug cheats out. Failing that, shame on drug cheats! -
Thats awesome!

Love this. Putting their money where their mouth is.
-
Am totally backing this. Bravo!

Kinda makes up for that whole Ritz sellout, amirite?

Too bad people like Kardong didn't make the same choice when faced with an even more egregious example.

What are you talking about? -
He gave local prize money to a Moroccan who had a second offense which should have had a 8 year minimum ban penalty. PRRO rules were also likely violated by inviting him since he had just finished serving the initial 3 year ban.

I met the Hanson brothers briefly in Aarhus at the World XC and let me just say they were great lovers of the sport. They loved hearing how someone from VA was coaching an Aussie female to top 50 in the world as a 22 year old. Not surprised but what they did and look forward to having a beer with them in Bathurst 2021!

Seems reactionary and racist to a non-biased observer.

So maybe we should go into the past and even the criminal history of everyone the hanson brothers have paid out bonuses too. This is some F'd up crap and is definitely a wee racist.
If any of their winners ever had an arrest or were cited for speeding maybe we shouldn't pay out a bonus either.
Did you get suspended from school in high school for misbehavior? Sorry, no bonuses. I have lost all respect for the hansons.
The dude won and put in his time and energy like everyone else. He's served his time. America, grow the F up. -

Not accepting someone taking performance enhancing drugs to cheat and run faster for financial benefit is racist? Please tell me what white person in this race or any USATF race had an EPO doping ban and is back and running against USATF runners trying to scoop up the prize money.
It may add a little extra dislike due to the fact he comes out of nowhere from Morocco and presumably gets citizenship so that he can try to rake in as much American prize money as he can. I'm sure people would feel the same way if a French guy did it. It would be a little different if he came here at age 18 for the NCAA and switched citizenship immediately. But waiting this long in his life makes it seem like a cash-grab. -

Here we go. This is more of what I expected. The trash that these boards were built on.
1. The drug cheat was paid. No one took his prize money away.
2. The Hansons only pay their athletes bonuses. Not the entire field.
3. The Hansons chose to pay their athletes more.
Who was harmed in this? -
Not Awesome....hypocritical.
1. they brought on Dathan to their team. he did some sketchy things and that basically forced Linden off the team.
2. They treat their "athletes" like indentured servants.
3. it's just stupid blustering. Most certain their runners aren't 100% clean. -

People said this about separate but equal. Racists acts hurt society -
Wow, Hanson's-Brooks re-distributed an entire $2000 in bonuses.
Can you imagine what the pro life must be like where you cant earn that amount in 7 days or less? -

False on all accounts!
If you think Hansons runners are cheating or treated like slaves you're an idiot. Desi quit because she didn't want to share the spotlight with a clear Michigan favorite in the ranks. I've been to a couple of events at the Hansons stores and guess who got nearly double the crowds? Dathan.
But keep pushing YOUR agenda. -

She quit because Dathan was a cheater for Nike. She was pretty clear about that. -
High school suspensions and traffic violations have nothing to with running. And all Hansons are doing is giving money to their athletes that they thought they should have won. The "dude" who won gets his title and prize. No one loses anything and a couple people gain a bit more than they'd originally done. I think a grown up would see no one harmed as a good thing.
