Schweizer's breakout year? 8:25 is very fast.
I think it has to be her breakout year and already has shown us that it is her breakout year.
What will her peak event for Tokyo? 5k?

The were wearing Nike Spikes. Also, they (all three who ran) broke the previous record. Karrissa broke it by a huge amount of 8 secconds!!

I forget the exact lap, but she was solo from probably 800 meters until the finish. Also lapped lots of runners and went into lane 2 a few times.
The lapping doesn't matter much, at least according to Tuohy. She was lapping runners countless times (at least 40+) when she set her 15:37(i) 5k as sophomore, and in the interview said it barely mattered for her time, maybe 1s.
I'd even say lapping runners makes it more interesting and gives runners something to chase down, and allow them to run faster than if they just solo TT in lane 1.
All your takes are unnecessary or wrong and bad

Have you ever raced on the track?
They should just load up the track with hobby joggers then so Koko could break 14.
I know the 1500 isn't run much indoor collegiately, but it looks like James West broke the NCAA 1500m indoor record

Do flat-footed runners like Purrier and Schweizer do (relatively) better in the new shoes than runners up on their toes like Houlihan? Are we going to see runners alter their mechanics to take advantage of the shoes better?

How are they cheater spikes? How about you actually celebrate this great accomplishment!
