A little outside but Franklin Park and blue hills in canton?
It’s been while since I lived in MA but those are the two best options south of Boston and still within 30 mins.
Milford has a quarry but I forget what’s around that.
Blue hills has a defined trail system?
Cool
I know some trails at Walden pond too.
15-20 mins north try the Topsfield/Danvers etc rail trail. Plenty of free parking along the way.

Blue Hills has trails, some rocky but don't forget to cross over 128 and run on the trails/golf course there. We used to run there just about every Sunday (if we weren't racing)
Check out the Fells. I lived in Malden at one point and would be in there just about every day.
there are nice trails along the charles if you fall the path past watertown. once into waltham, stay along the charles and there are some easy trails thru newton.
there are also great trails on the aquaducts in newton. search the web for trail maps.
Blue Hills has like 100 miles of trails all told, some more runnable than others. Besides that, there's the Middlesex Fells, Beaver Brook, Cutler Park, Noanet Reservation, the aqueduct through Newton, Walden Pond. Pretty much anywhere green on a map that says "Reservation" will have some trails.
Depending on which part of the city your in Harold Parker is 20-30 minutes away in Reading/Andover. Very worth the drive.
If you follow the emerald necklace from the back bay/fenway area down to the arboretum in roslindale you can get some decent miles in on mostly dirt/grass
Wompatuck state park is a little further away but has a pretty extensive trail system. There's no "blue trail" or "white trail" but they have location markers at every intersection so easy to find yourself if get lost.
Revere Beach. Over 3 miles of straight coastline. Go at low tide. Surprisingly desolate during the winter months. End it by treating yourself to a fish plate at Kelly's.

Wear your orange vest in season. Deer hunting is allowed at Harold Parker in 3 of the 4 towns that comprise it's territory.

Hale Reservation in Westwood connects to Noanet Reservation in Dover. There was a 100 mile race there put on by TARC a few years ago. In addition to Battle Road and Walden Pond in Concord there is Great Meadows and Estabrook Woods. Someone mentioned the aquaduct though Newton. It picks up on the other side of 128 and runs all the way though Wellesley to Elm Bank.

Fish?
Its called "Kellys Roast Beef" for a reason, numb nuts.
Franklin Park offers the ring around the golf course, of course, and be sure and enjoy the zoo, which extends down to the , Washington Street, Blue Hill Ave. area's scintillating atmosphere after dusk.
Well worth experiencing.
There used to be some trails around the Weston Reservoir, just outside 95 near the turnpike.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
