It's kinda surprising that zero information has came out about the new shoe yet. Drop/Weight/Availability/New Foam? Pictures only tell us so much.
Looks kind of like a Carbon X sole with a Carbon Rocket upper.

Indeed, they got a "silent launch" over the weekend. Hoping to test them soon!

Not a bad looking shoe!
Dang. Strange to release it so quietly like that. Does look good though. 5mm drop is perfect. Almost all sizes are unavailable now though. Wonder if they just haven't put them up there or if they sold out that fast....
I found out about that silent launch on Sunday, and my size was gone. Now most of the sizes are gone.
Not sure how this could be strategic. And it makes sense why Nike is killing everyone at the moment. Brooks wins Boston--nothing. Hoka wins the trials--no comment or mention of the winning shoe and how it's actually on sale. Just so bizarre to me.
Sisson wasn't even wearing the latest NB product either.

Not strange at all. Most sizes are already sold out even with zero marketing and not so much as an announcement. Therefore, the obvious conclusion is that this was a very limited release intended solely to try to satisfy the requirement of having the shoe on the market in time for their athletes to be allowed to use them at the Olympics. If they made a big announcement with a bunch of publicity and then the shoes sold out in 0.5 seconds, they would have a bunch of upset people complaining about how the shoes were all hyped up and then there weren't nearly enough to meet the demand.
If this shoe does not have at least a 36 mm stack height, I am not buying it.
So, did anyone actually pick up a pair or was the limited release a complete joke?
The european site says it has a 1mm drop, or is the EVO CARBON ROCKET a different shoe?

The Carbon Rocket was their first plated shoe and came out a while ago. The new shoe is the Rocket X.
I see the US website says it's back ordered until the 29th May 2020.
