Hasay comes through with the BQ! I'll see you in Boston, Jordan. Suck it, haters!
Her gait looked off from the start and to all the Rupp haters he looked thinner than in previous marathons while Hasay looked like a triathlete.

Rupp kept using thyroid meds (100+ T4 mg a day + 30mg cytomel/T3), Hasay stopped thyroid meds. As a result, Rupp kept losing weight and Hasay gained weight.
Simple as that, no science needed. "Grey area" matters more than people think.

And you know that how?
Same way you know Tinman invented training by time?
Please be quiet.

Need to be educated on how thyroid meds work on your metabolism? Just google "Dr Brown thyroid" if you need some info.
But yea, easier to believe that Rupp kept up high training volume and a great, restrictive diet and Hasay just overate and was lazy with training.
Honestly, the thyroid med theory seems much more likely to explain what the other guy posted (difference in weight pre-/post-Salazar era).

It's ok to hate NOP, but Jordan is going to dismantle the women's field. No injury, no excuse, she is that much better
I don't think "dismantle" means what you think it means.
Happy about the women’s side of this team. Don’t care that Jordan isn’t on the team. She called a banned coach a father figure. Pffffft

Complete bullspit. You fokking liar.
Rupp is already on the record in an old interview explaining he only was on thyroid meds briefly.
I just want to let everyone know I was right.
See you again next time.

Between the insta post and lets run interview she knows she is done. She has had more advantages and privileges than anyone I can think of in U.S. history yet produced zero Olympic berths. Surely, beyond Nike decision makers reviewing her contract, even dad knows it wasnt meant to be.

Your theory could be close to the truth if only Olympic athletes got sponsorship.
You are absolutely correct!! Thank You!!!
Blasphemy. She's one of the US' best runners. Had a bad day and tough training block with loss of her coach. She'll be back.

I've run 2:41, evidently I should have gone!
(yes, I'm a female runner, and a real one with two X chromosomes)
She obviously wasn't fit due to the hamstring tear recovery. But when you are a sponsored pro, that doesn't matter. You have to get out their and try to push through it. She gave it all she had and still had the class to finish the race instead of dropping out to get an appearance fee at a later spring marathon.

Exactly! The hate for Jordan on these boards, by the same few tired old trolls, is astounding.

I guess this is why I have a love/hate thing with watching elite marathon running. It's hard to be a fan of Jordan when she is paid to show up to two marathons per year, and is barely doing that.
She said she needed more time to prepare.. more time!? She gets paid, presumably enough, to train, then sit in bed all day and recover. I understand injuries take a long time to heal, but geez, it's ridiculous. No wonder running doesn't pay very much. What return are they getting if the athlete shows up once a year?

You just sound so stupid. Did you run in college even? Do you know what an injury is like when you are competing at a high level? Hamstring injuries are the worst. Do you know what it’s like to have a bad day despite having a great build up and you aren’t even sure what went wrong? Yeah, if you want to run shlt times, go ahead and do a couple of 2:45 marathons every year, you hobby jogger POS, you can get as injured as you like and fake your way through when you’re slow. Just clueless.
She's still morning the loss of Kobe so had trouble focusing.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
