Not cold, you’re just being soft. It’s not that bad, add 20 degrees and that’s what it will feel like running.

I'm not soft at all. If the forecast is correct it's cold and not ideal.

Real Feel: 47 degrees Fahrenheit.
Sorry, what’s your 10k PR? Maybe cold for spectators but this is ideal conditions minus the wind. Have you competitively ran a marathon?

Says the person posting as unregistered. Thanks for adding in minus the wind.

Current Weather Underground forecast is for noon conditions to be 41 degrees with 10 mph winds, so it'll feel like 35. It's forecast to reach 45 in the late afternoon.

I think this site uses an aggregate of forecasts. Looks to be 40 at the start and 44 at the mens finish. 41 and 45 for the women. Dew point will be low, so it will feel chilly.
Not perfect, but really good conditions I think.

Thank goodness that our trials will be in the low 30’s with lots of hills, since the actual Olympic race will be in the 80’s and flat. Makes a ton of sense.
At 12pm, it'll be closer to the high. So, what, mid-40s? 9mph winds, with some stronger gusts. It's a loop course and there will be decent packs for a lot of the race. The weather is not going to decide who will win like when it's super hot and/or humid. I think this is a pretty solid day for running tbh and based on what the weather gods have given me in my last few marathons. I'd gladly take this kind of a day.

What's ideal for someone could be cold for someone else. Right now the forecast is for 41 F at noon, 45 F at 2pm/3pm, with "feels like" 35 F and 39 F or 40 F, respectively. It's not so cold that it will affect the race if it stays dry, so I'm not arguing that. Just that I'm sure some would prefer warmer. I personally like around 60 F.
