Looks like she has the carbon plated Nike Distance Spike in the 5000m at Melbourne. Definitely not a current shoe and looked awfully close to the sole Muir has. She was bouncing around at the start line in them.
Maybe someone with some technical skills can get a picture.
So what will Nike do to keep normal people from being able to buy them on the limited release to meet the reauirements? Will they secretly buy them up at release using third party people? Will they release them to some obscure store to make sure no one gets these shoes?

Curious if you were so critical of Purrier, Coburn, and McGee’s prototype NB spikes this indoor season? And no, they are nothing close to Muir’s spikes. Those are a completely different model that will eventually usurp the current Matumbo.
Nike will release this new iteration of the Victory worn by Hull in 2020. -
I’m not critical. I actually have been waiting for a long time to get my hands on those shoes. My issues are the way Nike plays games. Will they put those spikes on their Nike plus site, will they send them to some secret store then buy them up to keep them from going out?
I really want a pair of those spikes. Nike played games with their LT4 Spike flats and never could get a pair of them last summer. I have a feeling no one will get their hands on these spikes till after the Olympics.
Nike will play a stupid game of release then have people inside buy them up to comply with the requirements.
Have you seen the 10k/ Half Marathon Zoom X carbon plated shoes that have less stack height that the next percent? I got a pic of those today and they were ridiculous looking. -
The spikes Hull Wore in the 5K at Melbourne and I seen the bower man babes wearing in some Instagram shots were not of the shoes above in black and green. The ones they had looked more like Muir had. Had solid heel to the plate. A true distance spike design.
I commented about them on Enfields Instagram and she tried to play them off as the Matumbos and that they are out now. Those were not the matumbos -

Let's see the pic. -
I would definitely use those for 5k road but I’m sure there is more benefits to using the next % or alpha fly’s for 8k up

I had a pair sent to me last week ? Shipping took 10 days though. -
Linden Hall has the same spikes and has been using them for a while.

They're the new victories with the airpods in the front in a white prototype colorway.

The spikes Gen Gregson is wearing are also prototype, closer to Matumbo as they dont have airpods in the forefoot.
More pics.

You can see Stewy in what looks like the Matumbo prototypes in his race, which he also wore at Zatopek back in December.

What will Nike do?
Who could say, I'm excited to try the new Victories out, but who knows if/when they'll make it to Australia. -
considering she ran slower than her PR, the spikes are clearly not the wondrous performance enhancing super springs people claim them to be
-
Hull and several other Nike athletes have been wearing those spikes since last summer I believe. They're not the same ones a lot of Nike athletes busted out with in Doha. Nor the same structure as the shoes Bowerman TC has been advertising (which look like regular spikes btw). You can look at the strides of some of the runners, noticeably different in these spikes.
My confusion is why only certain Nike athletes wear these spikes. Do some Nike athletes just prefer not to wear them or is Nike picking and choosing who to give them to? Koko, Hassan, Muir were wearing them on the circuit last year but more Nike athletes have been wearing them this indoor season. I guess with the upcoming release in won't matter in a couple months. -

Oh, stop. Those Nike splats were easy to buy one year ago already. You could even customize them with flags, initials, etc. No one in the general public has ever been able to “get ahold” of Nike spikes released in the Olympic year until after the Olympics. It has always been that way. However, it might be different because of the release required for international “fair use” rule. I’m not trying to be a dick when I say this, but please stop acting like it’s some kind of conspiracy and that Nike owes you something. They don’t. Wait your turn and be patient. You’ll eventually be able to purchase it all.
And yes, the new flats in development are phenomenal and well liked across the board. -
This is getting beyond ridiculous. From now any let's just DQ anyone who wears shoes since clearly they give you an advantage over the natural barefoot option.

Wow! There are some shoe-obsessed mofo's on here.

It was a championship race, she didn't need a time, she just needed to win. Stewie in his race went through 1k in 3:01, then did 4th & 5th km in 5:03. He was jogging the first 3k.
