Good stuff dunes runner.
Anyone think Bekele will run the 5000 now? ... hmmmm this must have been a very easy race for him.
However he'll be going for the WR in a few weeks, a good reason to wait.
Flags surrounding Bekele now.... crowd clapping noisely...

Bekele has also been selected for the 5,000m starting on Thursday, but has yet to confirm he will run.
"I don't know yet, it is very difficult this year," said the 23-year-old, whose victory rounded off a traumatic season after the sudden death of his fiancee and Alem Techale in January.
"It wasn't easy tonight with the rain," he insisted. "It was a difficult race but it is very nice to win two World Championships.
go back to the Paris results KGB their second 5k was under the american record and they blew away the field. Frankly tonights result was an upset they should have hammered earlier to drop their competition but then again maybe their 3rd and 4th runners weren't up to it.
Coach:
I agree with you. They should have taken off early. Abebe Dinkessa was capable. May be they were trying to save Kenenisa for the 5k... and now it looks like Kenenisa may not run the 5k.
I have similar feeling in that they didn't destroy the whole field, like they did in Paris; perhaps it might be a strategic move by the Ethiopians in saving energy for 5K. Since both Kenenisa and Seleshi are tentatively scheduled to run, saving energy is the best move by the coaches with their resources.
