Do you note that rekrunner just did what DR does as noted on that linked page?

Boring-And-Rider sounds like another victim of social media/reality tv. These people can’t get through a week without hospitals or prisons or lawsuits.

Might have been true if we were living in the same world as 20-30 years ago, but at least where I live MMA has exploded and you have no idea who has actual fight training unless their ears give it away. Someone who has no training in fighting should consider themselves about as good at it as someone running a 10K who has never putting in consistent mileage.
I've trained at an MMA gym for a number of years. I take your point, but even in a city like London, the percentage of males who have actually trained consistently in MMA woukd be very small. I trained in one of about 5 or 6 real MMA gyms in London run by professional fighters and producing professional and even world class fighters. Yet there were no more than 20 or so males attending classes regularly. More gyms are opening up everywhere, but I'd still doubt that more than 1% of even young males can say they have trained in MMA.
Of course if you include boxing and kickboxing and other practical arts relevant to streetfighting then it would be more, but still only a small percentage actually train regularly, and there usually not the type to randomly start trouble.
Yes, I took up running as a hobby a couple of years ago and could surely already outrun 95% of males at any distance at nearly 50. So training MMA for nearly a decade should give me the edge over at least 95% of men of any age unless they are twice my size.
Man if you’ve been training for ten years seriously I’d say you’ve got the edge on 99% of guys that don’t have a weapon. How much heavier does an untrained guy with average athleticism need to be in order to have the upper hand on you given your ten years of training?
The vast majority of runners will be physically assaulted while running in their careers. That's why I always concealed carry when I run. I have to protect my family.
If you are honestly worried about being in a 3 v. 1 scenario while running just carry a big enough knife that none of the three want to be the one to "take one for the team" and get stuck with your blade.
I know Durianrider. Trained with him back in 2012 at our running group. 100% that video of him being attacked is fake. I mean how come nobody is doing anything and why isnt the guy smashing him whilst he is on the ground and who is filming ?
If you google him you also find he is apparently a rapist, murder, drug runner and professional MMA fighter. I know for a fact all these claims are bogus. There is literally zero proof of any of his claims or other peoples claims about him. Zero police reports, court sentencings etc.
The guy LOVES the drama and puts out rumors on purpose as he RAKES in the youtube cash from more clicks.
He is the KK of the vegan scene and that is why he always has smoking hot young babes in his house.
He also accused Phil Gaimon of doping because phil dropped him up a climb outside of adalaide (sp?) Phil is a former world tour rider. Dr is a youtuber at best but if anyone beats him up a climb their doping. So dumb.

The real story is he was riding his bike on a busy sidewalk and verbally assaulted the guy who beat him up. If you pick a fight with someone and they beat you up, don't cry foul. Accept the beating and learn your lesson not to pick fights.
If you get triggered by "verbal assault," and then commit actual criminal assault upon their person, accept your felony charge, do your years in jail, and learn your lesson not to be triggered by words.
Hi, not an attorney, and certainly not a member of the bar wherever DurianRider is riding on the sidewalk but allow me to correct a mis-statement of facts.
I did complete 1L, and assault is a really simple comment. It includes the threat of physical violence.
The typical law school hypothetical here [check your state's assault specifics] is:
a) verbal threat of physical violence
b) approaching the target of your verbal threats in a threatening manner
and
c) the victim of your verbal assault believing that an assault is imminent
note that [C] is not required, A+B alone and this is assault. So your summary of the charges filed by the DA /assuming there are any will very easily have the cyclist as the antagonist and the person that pounded said cyclist as the defendant.
Threat of force [verbal] + threat of action [approaching in a threatening manner] == assault
Your welcome for this lesson

Nah. You just gotta be smart enough to leave the scene after you deliver some righteous consequences. Don’t let the system take you down.
That's right. You can count on whoever shares the video to blur out your face so you'll never be caught.

Though you apparently meant "defender," it's still not correct. The defender may indeed become the defendant if he doesn't follow laws regarding use of force in self defense. This is typically an affirmative claim where you have to prove, beyond the existence of an imminent threat, that you tried to avoid using force, and that a reasonable person would have responded the same way.
That huge guy who pinned him down could have easily farted while crushing the life out of him between his thick legs.
4-5 Banana per hour all day //
Durianrider is a total tool. Lives in Oz but also spends a lot of time in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Makes a lot of videos with young hot girls, some of whom are pretty decent competitive cyclists like Tori Barry. They all end up dumping him at some point. That's why he is mad at the world. Oh, and Chiang Mai has terrible air pollution due to all the farmers burning their fields at certain times of the year. The ride up Doi Suthep is no joke though. Not an easy ride.
