Anyone tried these yet? -

I'm interested in knowing how they compare to the Adios and Boston. Are they more cushioned than the Adios?

I made a comparison post in the Takumi sen 6 thread. Sadly unregistered users can no longer post links, so I can't link it for you. It's thread number 9757599 if you know how to splice that into a link.
i loved the first version, 5k shoes at most. almost no cushioning but incredible traction in all conditions/surfaces.
Ah. that's mostly what I was looking for - if it's a viable half marathon option for someone training with Boston. From your response, it sounds like it's even less shoe than adios
i've raced 3 half marathons in adios and they felt fine, but the rc is much more minimal
I would just use it for speedwork on track
Don't base your conclusions on the RC 2.0 on people reporting about their experiences with the first version. The RC 2.0 is not the same. They've added cushioning and significant stack height compared to the first version. It actually has more stack height than than Adios now according to the stats I'm seeing on some websites.
As it currently stands, it looks the Adios is Adidas's Boost racing flat and the RC 2.0 is their Lightstrike racing flat. Boost is heavier but softer and with better energy return. Lightstrike is lighter but presumably firmer and presumably less energy return. What distance you can run in each shoe is going to depend on your own personal tolerance, but the RC 2.0 is being advertised on some sites as being an up to half marathon shoe.
Adidas is really at a loss these days, aren't they?
lol

Thats what happens when your company hires fashion designers instead of material engineers and physiologists.
Adidas website says they're 8oz in a mens 9. that's crazy heavy for a 5k flat...what's the deal?
I have a few runs in the 2 and like them quite a bit. Did an interval workout and then a few mellow 6 milers. Haven't done a long run in them but going to soon.
I'd definitely race a half in them and considering them for a full.
I love the upper on the RC 2 (I believe the Adios 5 is identical) and the Lightstrike feels good, definitely firmer than boost, similar to Nike's React but not as soft.
By comparison, I'd only race a half in the previous versions of the Adios (3 & 4), nothing longer. For lack of a better description, I'd get a stinging sensation on the balls of my feet in the Adios in longer runs that I always described as feeling like my feet were slapping the pavement too much. I haven't felt that in the RCs, but havent done a true long run yet. For reference, I weight about 160lbs.
I raced my last marathons in Bostons, but I always wanted something slightly lighter or more minimal. Also, the new RCs feel like a lower heel drop than advertised.
Overall, definitely a good shoe, especially for the price, just wish it was Continental rubber and we'll see how long they can be pushed.
Take a look at this, adios 5 vs rc 2. 0:

How dare you besmirch my unregistered username that literally anyone could use. How dare you.
Seriously though, what on earth led you to this conclusion? All the posts I've made have been purely factual, sharing information that I've gathered from various shoe sites. I've not made any statements about my opinion about the shoes and have never claimed to have any personal experience with them. I'm puzzled as to why my posts sharing data about foam types and stack height and weight etc. would lead you to the conclusion that I am somehow recommending these shoes.
you think if adidas was going to pay someone to bother trying to hype their shoes on this wasteland that what I wrote is what they'd put out?

okay. show us some of these links/reviews about this shoe
10/10 troll. Unregistered users can't post links anymore.
Most of my info that I shared came from Adidas's Japanese website. I also used the listings on running warehouse, and I read at least one review on a dedicated shoe review website (don't remember which one right now).
