Gouchenour is a fairly common last name where I live. It looks like she is currently in Missouri, but where is she from? I know quite a few people with the last name Gouchenour (for the record, I am from the East Coast, nowhere near Missouri).

Isn't Curtis Beach washed up now? Both him and this Alexandria were both ranked as one of the best athletes in their events. World Athletics lists Alexandria as being ranked world 17th best at one point:
https://worldathletics.org/athletes/united-states/alex-gochenour-251389I wonder if they shared "supplements"?
Some quick Instagram searching tells me this isn't true. Looks like she's dating pro decathlete and NCAA assistant coach, Kurtis Brondyke.

You are right, we had the wrong Curtis before. I didn't snoop on her Instagram much, does she look hot?
I did just check out her Twitter and she has this big screenshot of a wall of text giving her side of the story:
https://mobile.twitter.com/BringTheRain_/status/1208421478150135808She says she is innocent and that she got Ostarine in her body from someone close to her that was helping someone else dope with Ostarine. Well, Ostarine is illegal everywhere, not even legal for any prescriptions, so..... Who is this someone close to her? Reveal the name. Did she snitch to WADA? I bet she didn't cooperate and that is why she got the 4 years.
Also, check out the past reply to her tweet. It comes from a coach named Jeff Gochenour and says "Total bullshit". Is this her former coach and related to her? Did she leave family for this "Kurtis" coach and boyfriend? Does "Kurtis" have any connections to other doping cases?
Seems like there is more to this story than what we are getting. You should do some interviews.

That would require actual journalism from Letsrun.com. Don't hold your breathe.
I wouldn't care except they hold themselves out as journalists when it is convenient.

Surely they could at least get Alexandria and her coaches on the LRC podcast?
For Alexandria's claim that she tested at 0.01 ng/mL of Ostarine as evidence she didn't ingest intentionally, that is not an excuse. Ostarine has a very short elimination half life of 24 hours:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enobosarm
Alexandria was caught with the Ostarine at the 2018 US national championships. So it is likely she messed up her timing or dosage to be in the "clear", just like what you would do with testosterone patches or creams.
Lol @ her explanation. “I know someone who knows someone who was taking ostarine and the person I know shared bottles with the person taking ostarine”... doping by proxy. ?

This. It seems like she just underestimated how long the substance would be detectable.

Here’s the tweet:
https://mobile.twitter.com/jeffsfarms/status/1208434302570156032According to her profile from Arkansas, Jeff Gochenour is her father.
https://arkansasrazorbacks.com/roster/alexandria-gochenour/He apparently was also her HS coach.

That tweet letter isn't going to convince anyone that follows the sport. It's aimed at friends and family who don't know /care about how doping/testing work and want a reason to believe she didn't cheat.

Based on the NOP Investigation, the true story will be released 2026.

Wow, even her own father and former coach doesn't believe her story! That's a good burn if I ever saw one.
Then this points the finger at boyfriend/athlete/new coach Kurtis as being the close person with the Ostarine. I wonder if USADA is going to keep closer tabs on him now. If Alexandria didn't give an explicit name, it sure is easy to figure out who she meant by someone close in contact with Ostarine.

I think it’s pretty easy to deduce that his “total BS” statement is directed at the doping sanction and not calling BS on her story. If there was some kind of bad blood between a father and his daughter, I don’t think he would have a picture of them together as his profile picture. She also liked his reply.
I wouldn't interpret the fathers response as calling her excuse BS. I think he's saying the suspension is BS.
I don't think a father would call out his daughter like that in a public forum. If he didn't buy her excuse I think he'd express it somewhere the entire world couldn't see it.
As a coach he should know better but people often have a blind spot for their children.
Ok, then dad Jeff goes back into the list of suspects along with boyfriend Kurtis, assuming Alexandria is telling anywhere close to the truth.

Maybe he is calling USADA’s decision BS?

Yeah, I can see how it can be interpreted that way now.
This leaves the very unsettling possibility that she or those around her are involved in a doping ring. Because what she wrote on Twitter doesn't sound like that someone close to her is doing anything unintentionally. In fact, what she wrote is a description of someone helping someone with planned and premeditated doping. If this someone is one of her coaches, there is going to be a rats nest.

I agree the BS comment is ambiguous. Maybe thinking things through and focusing on the details does not run in that family. Rather it's act now and backpedal later.
I had a look at Alexandria's Instagram now. One thing is for sure, she takes way too many glorified selfies like all girls do.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
