What? It's this type of garbage that I can't stand on these message boards. It's a bunch of kids that don't know jack about running in college.
There are 300 programs that are D1. Each program has about 15-25 kids on the XC roster.
Go to any D1 Conference that is not Stanford, Colorado, or Oregon, etc., and check the rosters. Here is my team -
#1 Runner. Former 9:36 runner.
#2 Runner. Former 9:22 runner.
#3 Runner. Former 9:17 runner
#4 Runner. Former 9:54 runner
#5 Runner. Former 9:47 runner.
#6 Runner. Former 9:28 runner.
#7 Runner. Former 10:04 runner.
We have signed a 4;23 kid, a 1:55 kid, and 9:52 kid so far. We do not make top 20 at NCAA XC Regionals, but we all compete at a high level. The #1 runner is All-Region in XC and a qualifier on the Track. Runners 8-12 are sub-10:10 guys with a couple 9:20-9:40 guys coming back from injuries, etc.
You can run if you are 4:20/9:30 at any school in the country. If you don't believe so, give me a school and I will show you a kid on the roster.
