Am amazed there's no buzz here about Saturday's national club cross country championships at Lehigh.
From what I understand, entries are close to or at an all-time high.
Here's a link to the open entries...

The bigger question is who is gonna end up getting tased at the post meet party?!?

Well. Katelyn Touhy is entered in the women's race? -
Why is women’s race 6k vs 10k for the men?
Curious to see how Natosha Rogers does. -

Speaking of Natosha Rogers, how is she allowed to compete for a Michigan club even though she lives in Colorado? -
My money is on Jamin getting tased
-
Is it worth driving 3 hours each way to see jamin compete?
-
Where is the toga party at this year?
-
What's all the taser talk referencing?

At the 2007 Club Cross Country championships at West Chester, Ohio, guy got tased either by the local cops or by hotel security after having too much to drink at the post-race party. I can't find either the LR thread about this or the article from the local paper about the incident. If anyone can find the link or the message board thread, that would be awesome.
I just remember there was a lot of talking on the message board after that incident (I was at the race but didn't stick around for the party, as I flew home immediately after the meet).
Hopefully someone tases Jamin. -
Whoa. I know this guy from Atlanta, how did this never come up in the last 7 years?!?!
-
So did that dude ever get out of the clink? I hear Ohio is pretty conservative i.e. tough on crime so I could see that being like a 20 year minimum for getting tased.
-
Funny thing happened. They dropped the charges after one of the eyewitnesses, who happens to be an attorney and does not drink, offered to fly back to Ohio to take the stand and testify about all of the inconsistencies between what was filed in the police report and what she and several other eyewitnesses documented.

She is still in Colorado but competing for Hansons Brooks in Michigan? What do USATF rules say about this
-
Lehigh is an awesome course. It’s extremely flat, great course to run some fast times. Even in the mud they usually maintain it well to make sure it is still good.
-
the course sucks - that is why there is no hype

In the USATF events, I haven't seen them enforce a geographic proximity rule. I always wondered if that was to accommodate the folks they know train in one place but represent a team from elsewhere. The only time I've seen it enforced is with Boston Marathon teams.
Separately, I feel like Bethlehem gets a lot of entries because it's relatively close for a densely populated few states. Somewhere like Lexington or Tallahassee always has fewer entries. -

You can have one person on your club that does not live in the association (but they must transfer into the association) and after three years you then wouldn't count as being out of association anymore. Also, if you are on a club for three years, you are considered part of that association/club even if you move to another association. You also could move but not move your USATF address although you probably should switch.
