I had a rude awakening my freshman year of college at my first "cross country" race. Being from CA, I had raced on basically dirt roads and manicured courses my entire high school career. Even my breakthrough to race Kinney Nationals my Sr year was essentially dry and on short grass. That first race on a sloppy, wet course with tall grass was a complete shock to the system.
Nico ran really well in bad conditions at NXN last year. I think he will be fine
