Currently lacking a sprint coach, so might not make that much sense.

You’ve got the Jason part right buddy, but my sources (who are very close to the program) say it is going to be former Lake Superior State University coach Jason Davis. The guy did a ton with nothing while there and the culture has really gone down hill since he left. He would do amazing things for a place like Saginaw that’s in a huge transition period.

Confused...is the distance coach even out then?
Not officially but I’ve heard he may just be getting the girls from here on out. Kind of like how they forced Ed to step aside for Hartmann.

Ok my roommate/former teammates’ brother used to run at Saginaw and he told us a similar rumor. Not sure if it’s true or what but I guess there is some validity behind what he said.

Not saying this isn't true, I'm just wondering how they're able to add a full time position during the COVID19 crisis along with the sanctions they've received from the NCAA over the last year.
Are you saying they're going to have a separate men's and women's coach? Or are they moving the current guy to part time and bringing a full timer to coach sprints and assist with xc?

Everything Ive heard is the track / XC programs have had great returns on investment for the university. They’ve had large teams with a large portion not on scholarships. Having that enrollment coupled with the school being in a good financial situation might allow them to bring on another high caliber coach like I guess Jason Davis as apparently some of you have heard. It may not be exactly him, but with the new SV guy having solid success with the women he makes more sense focusing all of his efforts there and helping with 400 group in track too with his mid d background.
Basically this. Davis has had success with the guys. Former director so can help with the organizational side of track really allowing Cowan to get in there in coach more like he desires to in track.

Again I'm not.saying this can't be true, but they're going to bring in a guy with supposedly all this experience to work for 36k and do all the work of a director? Who would agree to that? The guy is a sprint coach too, right?
