Some do some don't. Have heard of some pretty amazing bonus structures, seen some where head coach gets it only. Its a school by school kind of thing.

The Towson xc coach had a disagreement with the head coach.
About what? The head coach wanted to win, the distance coach didn't?
Division II School in central Georgia. Solid academics, no full track program (only 1-2 indoor meets and 3ish outdoor meets allowed). Pay would probably only be in the 30k territory based on previous coaches. Program has seen some turnover lately but could be a great spot for a young coach to build! I'd go after it myself if I was in position to do so.
Position says part-time,highly doubt it pays in the 30k territory

Prob Asha Gibson or Chyna Davis.
How could Asha have anything to do with this? She's been gone for almost 3-4 years now I believe and is the interim HC at Drake.
Montana not open. HR BS stuff to make full time.

Need some advice: Would D1 assistant coaching contract typically provide for performance bonuses or is salary fixed at start of year?
I have never heard of performance bonuses for assistants at any school.
But I'm not "in the loop," esp. re Div. I. (I haven't coached at a D1 for many years.) Anybody else want to weigh in?
Depends on the school. If they want to be competitive in DI, then yes. If they're just shooting for small potatoes or don't care...then no. This generally means that P5's do have performance bonuses - even for assistant coaches - and mid-majors on down do not. I'm sure there are exceptions like everything...but this has been my experience.
Let's now add ACU.
Coach Bingham is an excellent coach and a great person. Liberty will continue to do well with him at the helm.
Any news out of JuCo or NAIA nationals this weekend?

Where is the confirmation that CCU is actually looking for a distance coach? Haven't seen anything to indicate there's a search going on.
Yes, many DI assistants get bonuses for NCAA podium finishes, conference championships, etc. The frequency and amount would vary wildly.

The University of New England is looking for a men and womens cross country/women's track & field head coach
UNCW has been filled, should be released next week!
"Using the methods used in the past would be unsuccessful and would likely result in dismissal from the job and potentially NCAA violations and investigations." What are you talking about?
Wasn't their previous coach just hired over the summer?
