It's only 31 miles. I'm sure I can handle 50 miles if needed. My endurance is so much better than my speed and I have the brain cells to know how to pace myself to finish strong. I would easily be well under 4 hour marathon pace for TNF50k. Then less than 8k of yogging.
Why did the race attract a more elite men's field than women's field? Gap between winning times should be ~20 minutes....not over an hour.

The 50K is not the premier race, the 50 mile is, and neither the men's nor women's fields were very impressive. The marathon actually ended up with a stronger field overall.
