I'd like to hear from some swimming people on how the sport went about the process of banning the full body suits.
The suits were revolutionary, they improved times, and yet they were banned to preserve the integrity of the sport.
But I don't know much about the process of how it came about.
Couldn' the sport just as easily have allowed the suits and all the companies would have have had full body suits. It seems like with a full body suit there is a lot less technology involved that in running shoes where companies really don't know everything other companies are putting into their shoes.
I don't want our sport to be about someone winning because they have a technology (shoes) someone else doesn't have. This isn't car racing so I think track and field can run from swimming's example.
