Life would be very different.
I would have never gotten into the college I am currently at, and would have never gone on the cool recruiting visits that helped open my eyes to different parts of society. I would probably have succumbed to depression. In High School, the only thing that kept me going every day was running. I might've, in a very real way, not been here right now had I not started running. It was an escape and a distraction.
Now it's a stressor and gives me anxiety, but I feel obligated to continue competing for my university to maintain my pride, social standing, and scholarship $$.
