Yup, some coach in NorCal is getting butthurt. Too funny!

Terre haute is much slower than bronco having run them both several years back. I know they’ve changed the Terre Haute cours ea bit but it still seems grassy, bumpy, and a bit hilly. Bronco is basically a track race.
My time at bronco was ~45 seconds faster for 6k with similar conditions. Granted again this was like 2013, but still.
Sounds like some other nor cal schools are pissed that UCD is comin back loll
Also doesn’t Elizondo coach UCLA women only? Or am I wrong on that
No. He coaches both men and women... he does have assistants though.

So you are saying there aren't lots of good opportunities out there?

No, I’m pointing out how insecure you must be to feel the need to add that on a post about UCD.

I'm insecure, ehh? Okay. Do you know me? Or perhaps you are projecting.
UDC is doing a fine job... I've said the same thing in other threads... even said it last year when I noticed. There are lots of programs out there doing a great job, if you find that comment to mean I'm insecure... okay, I was just complimenting other programs too. I'm sorry you don't like that I did that. You must attend UCD, good for you, it's a nice school with a good program.

Bro they finished 23rd at prenats with like 70% of the good teams at wisco , slow it down a bit.. Lets see how big west goes first
Ok, so let's assume they're about 32nd nationally. Have they ever been that high? Serious question, I dont know the answer, but my gut feeling is that they have not.
Why is it that every time UC Davis is mentioned the conversation devolves into inane bickering? It's such a low profile program, it makes no sense that it would be this controversial.
Is it just current and former athletes/coaches posting in these threads? That would make sense. Who else would talk about UC Davis?

Because there is always a jealous coach out there that has to add their unasked for 2 cents. The parent was just saying that they have 9 girls that will make for a good foundation. The waiter guy decided to pick that apart, saying that one course is faster and apparently trying to prove that the girls that ran at the slower course aren't really that good. Then he comes back to try and walk back his statements and offer false praise when he was the only one arguing against the notion that Davis has a nice start to a good program. That's all that was proposed here. No one said they were going to win NCAAs, but some people just can't let things be. Mr know it all had to come in and pick apart every word of what was said because he's an azzhole.

Actually, he was the only one being reasonable. People like you are giving UCD a bad name.
So they get some coaches who don't hand out drugs to the team and the program gets faster. Good for them. New team is doing well.

Hi 5 Min Waiter.
Their club team is faster than the actual team so whatever

Nathan Kwan graduated, so those days are over.
NCAA team would thrash the club team this year, not that that's a huge bragging point.
I have been a Northern California College Coach for years...and my athletes always run 45s +/-5s. faster on the Bronco course than they do anywhere else, especially the course in Terre Haute. The Peterson's aren't stupid enough to not send what they felt would be their full "A" squad to Pre-Nationals. Whether that ends up being their full "A" squad by regionals or not...I can promise you they intended a "straight A/B split" and the results demonstrate that . That said, it is an accurate statement to say they are doing a nice job there and the team is running well. It will be interesting to see if their new boss/head coach yanks the money they've had to recruit with for himself though...
They are not that good.

Pretty much every conversation on this board devolves into inane bickering.

Been a total non-factor the last few years and suddenly they’re moving up the west region rankings, what is going on?
Lots of transfers or something?
Either way, good to seem them back.
Don't sleep on UC Davis. A great place to train, a great school, and a coaching staff that is committed to building the program.
Also, rumor has it there are some local Olympians advising the coaching staff and helping out with recruiting.
You heard it here first!
Hold on.... UCLA men are killing it. Devin coaches both genders.... he's crushing it with an under resourced men's team.
2nd Devin didn't quit mid season
3rd Those results at Bronco and Santa Clara are not as impressive as they look. Santa Clara is the fastest course in the country and the pre nats results... they finished 23rd... like someone said, with all the good teams at Nutty. Regional rankings are done by Emma's Florida State buddy... So he's gassing her program up. I am willing to wager that those women do not finish in the top 15 at West Region and that they are no better than 3rd... more likely 4th at Big West. And the Big West has not that good.
Poly
Fullerton
UCSB
UCD
and the men... they're not good.
I'll say they ARE recruiting at a high level, but at the very best the jury is out...

Everything else you wrote is subjective, and everybody is entitled to their opinion.
But this is just an outright lie. He quit in the middle of cross country season, a full month after the team had reported. Maybe you'd prefer the phrase "quit 1/3rd of the way through the season?" Would that make you feel better?
