Been a total non-factor the last few years and suddenly they’re moving up the west region rankings, what is going on?
Lots of transfers or something?
Either way, good to seem them back.

Since a lot of people on this board think I'm a coach there I felt it necessary for me to post on this thread.
Coaches Emma and Drew Peterson are changing the culture, they will continue to improve you can count on that.
Recruiting Chloe and Emma Arriaga hasn't hurt.
No transfers, just good recruiting and really developing the people already there. This is going to be a real good program in a few years
Me wonders which Davis coach started this thread.
Which of the several former coaches is the most butthurt? Probably them lmao.
Haven’t been keeping up with the Ags lately but after a quick tfrrs search a congrats is in order, hopefully whatever is working keeps working and this isn’t a fluke
This UC Davis?
Maybe someday the men will come back too.
Were they ever even there?
So Elonzo quits mid season, abandoning his commitment to the kids. Within a few years, they're doing way better as a team, showing the new coaching is much better.
Meanwhile UCLA stagnates.
Hmmm...
Bro they finished 23rd at prenats with like 70% of the good teams at wisco , slow it down a bit.. Lets see how big west goes first

First thing I thought when I saw this thread.

Clueless, they're doing well on the men's side. Better than last year so far.

They’re a slightly faster Chico State.

They split their squad between pre-nats and The Santa Clara Bronco Invitational, where they also did well. It wasn't a straight A/B split either because some of their top 7 ran at Bronco. If all of their top 7 were factored in at pre-nats, they would have scored better. I'n not saying they would have won the thing or even been close, but they have 9 girls who all ran 21s on Sataurday between pre-nats and Bronco and that will bode well for future development.
21:21 Goodisson, Eva - Pre-Nats
21:24 Atkins, Sierra - Pre-Nats
21:32 Kunz, Tatjana - Bronco
21:40 Arriaga, Chloe - Pre-Nats
21;41 Arriaga, Emma - Bronco
21:42 Ward, Anaya - Bronco
21:44 Navarro, Marie - Bronco
21:46 Morris, Natalie - Pre-Nats
21:57 Hicken, Emma - Pre-Nats
Parent... you can't compare times on different courses... sorry. Guessing Pre-nats course was much tougher... and I will guarantee the comp at pre-nats was much tougher which made things easier for those running at Bronco.
That said, the coaches at Davis have done a nice job... and they recruited pretty well too. Of course, there are lots of good opportunities out there for student athletes to select from.
You make no sense. First of all, you are "GUESSING" that the courses are that dissimilar and I am not. The course for Bronco is not easy and probably runs similarly to Terre Haute, minus the cold and competition. I'm not just a parent, I'm also a coach; I'm just smart enough to not coach my own.
As for what you guarantee, yes, the competition was tougher at pre-nats, but that's a BENEFIT to those that ran there. That would make their times FASTER, it's not a detriment. The notion that running against weaker competition somehow makes it easier to run fast is about the stupidest thing I've ever read.
UCD has a solid squad that they can build on. The Arriaga twins will be a huge part of their top 5 for the next 4 years, this is why they were not red shirted, they are immediate scorers.
Terre haute is much slower than bronco having run them both several years back. I know they’ve changed the Terre Haute cours ea bit but it still seems grassy, bumpy, and a bit hilly. Bronco is basically a track race.
My time at bronco was ~45 seconds faster for 6k with similar conditions. Granted again this was like 2013, but still.
Sounds like some other nor cal schools are pissed that UCD is comin back loll
Also doesn’t Elizondo coach UCLA women only? Or am I wrong on that
I am actually not guessing. I was being nice. The Bronco Invite course is easy and fast. The competition was not nearly the same there... it was much softer and therefore easier for those closer to the front to run fast... most of those who were in the top part of the field at Bronco would have been way back at Pre-nats… which, in my opinion, would not be a plus... never is... Although being at Pre-nats might have helped someone like Sandoval, it certainly wouldn't have helped someone in 40th place at Bronco.
I am certainly happy to disagree with you on your point that faster comp makes runners faster... this is not nearly always true... for your better runners sure... but for most D1 athletes, well, I'll just say I disagree with you but certainly you are entitled to think otherwise.. it's a subjective and an opinion... not the stupidest thing you have ever read.
I also pointed out that UCD coaches have done a good job over the past two years and have also done a fine job recruiting. Nice school & good program... there are several of those out there. Hopefully your daughter picks a good one to attend.
Correction... " it's subjective and an opinion".
