You can not measure a course with a GPS.
The meet director (George) of Woodbridge follows USATF guidelines using a calibrated measuring wheel, not with GPS or bicycle odometer (Those are not accurate). It's the only correct way to get an accurate measurement and a requirement for USATF. George makes sure it's 3miles because he knows records could fall with guys like Nico Young and other standouts who race there.
Wheel is not a USATF measuring device. So your entire argument is thrown out. The course is clearly short. For those that say people don't care I have heard so much about his TIME on the course that obviously plenty of people care even if you don't. Every headline about the meet has his time, they are calling it a "record" so I would say that some care.
