It's not about whether they are feeling the effects of being at altitude. It's about just training for four weeks. What happened to kids having jobs during the summer?
I guess that’s the price you need to pay to be the tops in the nation. Month long training camps, running twice a day and all of the other crazy things we probably have no idea that go on.
A month is a looong time for a high schooler (especially a frosh or sophomore) to be away from home.
Big sacrifices usually result in big results, especially when talent is involved.
Most college programs aren’t as serious. It will be interesting to see how some of these kids do at the next level.
