You gave up bacon and you're still going to die first. Sucks to be you!
Time to meat up, sissies.

Right. It's funny how some complain about vegetarians acting like their diet is the healthiest, and yet, here you are. Really, no different than the vegetarians you purport to dislike.
they also claim bacon is unhealthy. Why would you believe crazy people?
It suggests that B12 deficits might be the reason for the greater stroke risk. I’ll take my chances by continuing to eat veg and take vitamins.
Six million ways to die, but you can’t choose one, it chooses you.
Meat is a lie.
99.9% of studies ever: saturated fat is really bad for your health.
High-Fat-Low-Carbers: All nutrition science is bogus. All epidemiology is invalid. All researchers are corrupt and biased. All that matters is that I and one guy I read about got healthier eating HFLC.
a few studies: vegetarianism might not be the best.
HFLCers: Proof that vegetables are the devil!
Wtf, does the National Cattlemen's Beef Association pay bots to generate posts like this?
Go steak!

Or instead of taking a pill, you could just eat small amounts of meat on occasion.
You only have a large brain because humans ate sufficient protein and fat to develop the capacity to develop and support massive brain activity. It is neither enlightened nor natural to avoid animal protein and ingest massive amounts of phytonutrients, at least some of which have the purpose of making sick the animals that ingest them. Rest assured that animals and flora/fauna will not hesitate for a second before eating every bit of you when your time comes.
Eat what you want, but the virtue signaling that vegetarians engage in is offensive.
Drainthefecesswamp Several times a year I will eat fish if the spirit moves me. I crave chicken sometimes but I am otherwise no longer enticed by red meat. Beef and pork are the worst.
I would however, support consumption of invasive species such as:
Florida Pythons
Asian karp
Australian Rabbits

Register here I know what you mean and really don’t expect the world to go full veg and diet is not the only thing that makes one a good person. On the point of brain evolution though, we’re not going to undo millions of years of evolution by not eating meat for one generation. The big meat era we live in just calls for the veg diet to me.
You're contributing to devolution then aren't you? Your progeny, then their progeny, smaller and smaller brains.
Bunch of selfish Jair Bolsonaro hacks up in here.
MEAT EATERS, you're destroying the planet.
Idk how I’m gonna raise my kids but if I do raise them veg eventually they will be adults and make their own choices. Who knows.
By then lab raised meat might be a thing. Which I am totally about.

No we aren't, big agriculture is.
In the linked study, there actually wasn't even a higher risk of stroke for vegetarians and vegans. What was higher was their hazard ratios which where calculated using the variables below:

All analyses included age as the underlying time variable, and were stratified by sex, method of recruitment(general practice or postal), and region (7 categories), and adjusted for year of recruitment (per year), education (no qualifications, basic secondary [e.g. O level], higher secondary [e.g. A level], degree, unknown), Townsend deprivation index (quartiles, unknown), smoking (never, former, light, heavy, unknown), alcohol consumption(
The study has limitations, including the fact that it is based on self-reporting, and that not all participants answered questions in 2010.The study also mainly involved white people living in the UK, so it is not clear whether the results would hold in other populations.
Dr Frankie Phillips, a dietitian from the British Dietetic Association, said vegetarians and vegans should not be alarmed by the results, stressing that the study does not show cause and effect.
Instead, Phillips said, everyone could benefit from eating more plants. “That doesn’t necessarily mean becoming completely vegan or vegetarian,” she said, adding that having a wide range of foods in the diet ensured it provided all the necessary nutrients.

"Taking a pill" is effectively like pissing on a bonfire. The human brain evolved on meat, and evolved FOR meat. Vegans lose 1% brain mass/year, functionally reverting to an australopithecine past which ended rather badly for them and will for vegans and their progeny also.
https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/diagnosis-diet/201709/the-vegan-brain"In summary, the brain-healthy nutrients that plant-eaters in developed countries need to be the most concerned about are: DHA, vitamin B12, vitamin K2 (MK-4), zinc, iron, riboflavin, and vitamin D3. It is common knowledge that vegan diets need to be supplemented with B12, but many people are under the impression that colorful fruits and vegetables are excellent sources of most other vital nutrients..... The science is clear on this point: unsupplemented vegan diets pose great danger to brain health. "
