There were great expectations for Butchart (13.24), Ingebrigtsen (13.30), McSweyne (13.32), Wanders (13.45), but they all ran disappointingly, but credit to them for finishing (Tiernan dropped out).
Over prepared ? Too great expectations and pressure ? McSweyne was predicted to challenge Mottram's OZ record. Wanders -this guy works so hard -was he over cooked by now ?
Discuss.
Have you watched the race? Tiernan was pacing....
None of the reasons you list.... Whats "over-prepared? Mean overtraining?
One race too many for some (Paris and Birmingham in the last two weeks), pace too ambitious for others (Wanders wont go anywhere if he sets off at 12'55" pace right now) and more importantly none of these guys has done any taper yet with Doha still a month away....
