I watched the video. Where did they uncover doping among leading Kenyan athletes? I didn't see that part which is odd, considering it's the headline.
I agree, it's like they're taking credit for something that's already known.
They could have just read the 'currently banned/waiting to be banned' list on the AIU website and you can 'uncover' doping among leading Kenyan athletes without any expensive investigative journalism.
The video was a bit lightweight and brief for what it was claiming to have 'uncovered', but it did show a runner - allegedly one who 'trains with the top guys' in Iten - actually being injected with EPO and claiming that it was commonplace. It also claimed that they discovered it was still a piece of cake to get hold of EPO from the local pharmacies there.
Hopefully it was a preview video of a longer version that they have.
Also, surely the runner being interviewed after receiving an EPO injection could be identified? It showed the lower half of his face and his voice fairly clearly in the background.
Yeah, it didn't tell us much that most of us here already knew, but the more reports like this that are made by the media and the harder it is for the doping apologists to deny what's going on. Remember El K was still claiming that 'all the bad apples have been caught', and that the sale of EPO had been closed down in Iten and Eldoret.
