I used to be a big fan of Nick Symmonds, he was one of my favorite athletes for a long time. He was a very strong middle distance runner. Symmonds was not afraid to stand up for what he believed in. Many American distance runners like myself also looked up to him. Now he's turn into a clickbait youtube stunt performer. His latest stunt is running a "world record" in the 100m while dribbling a basketball. The other week he did a "world record" in the 100m while wearing ski boots. Nick Symmonds, why are you doing this? I get it, your not world class anymore, but why do this nonesense. It is painful to see one of my favorite athletes resort to clickbait youtube garbage, when he, of all people, could use this platform for something meaningful. To his credit, he has been very candid on Youtube about his pro career and on topics related to track and field, but how could he be this former pro who is giving his inside opinion and at the same time do these youtube clickbait stunts?
