It's cute and all but Chelimo has more global medals than Lopez ever will, and will finish better at Worlds than Lopez.

Lopez might wanna check the shade until after he does his best not to get lapped in Doha.

Man I guess Chelimo should have won then , right?
I love stuff like this—but when you call it “Savage”, or “Roasts”, you completely ruin it. This just playful banter.

Not stated nor implied. Webb and Manzano beat Lagat at nationals the year he won the World Championships. Some people have to aim to have their bests at different meets, or at least end up having their best performances at different meets.

Lopez is a master at shining when it matters. Like Payton Jordan and various road miles. Who needs qualifications out of the rounds (or in general), fast times or medals when that road mile glory is ripe for the taking?
Do we have a new hashtag for all of Chelimo's posts of his going hard and suffering.
#gohardunlesstheygowithyou
Chelimo responds with his own post!!
“Just go hard or no medals...that’s just not me, I don’t train for that type of s*** lmao”
I love it

Woody Kincaid was on a running podcast saying Jerry told Lopez he wasn’t allowed to lead the race.
Sounds like the entire Bowerman game plan was specifically not to run as a team and to draft off Chelimo.
People wonder why track doesn’t gain popularity? Maybe it’s because the most self-promoted group in America comes into Championship races with explicit instructions not to race.

You have a misunderstanding of what a race is and you showcase it often.

You frequently assert that one needs to go to the front and push the pace in order to be "racing".

Chelimo is so salty he's clapping back at people in the comments

... and in this context I’m mistaken ... where exactly?

In your adding requirements that aren't necessary to be racing. Lomong most certainly raced that 5000m. Centro most certainly raced in the Rio 1500m final. Mo most certainly raced in the London 5000m final.

Oh, you’re being pedantic.
You know what Chelimo, Centro and Farah have in common? They’re all earned WC/Oly medalists through the commonly regarded activity of racing. The type where people take chances, mix it up, even lead now and again.
But they also give medals at color runs so it’s all the same. Medal is a medal and racing is racing.

It's not being pedantic to point out that it's patently false to say that " the most self-promoted group in America comes into Championship races with explicit instructions not to race." It's common sense.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
