He ran with me at Whittier HS in CA

I was asking about the story surrounding the arrest. Was there a warrant for his arrest? Did he really have a pistol? I heard cops screaming gun, gun, gun. Cops will scream gun, gun, gun if/when cops shoot a man with only a cell phone in his hand.

Is that the pigs really screaming at him to 'put the gun down' when he's clearly lying face down dead or dying, and then they pump some more lead into him? (at around the 1:24 mark)

But hey, he's white, so nobody will care.

He was impersonating a police officer. The car he was about to get into was stolen. The police officer shot him in the leg and he fell. The suspect actually shot himself, mortally wounding himself.

The cops learned in the 5 seconds he was running that the car was stolen?

Im amazed the cop managed to hit him on the run from reasonable far away with basically a rushed shot. The cop also clearly made no attempt to consider if he was shooting towards other people, he could easily have shot a car driving past on the road or into the buildings on the other side.

The shooting by cop was reckless endangerment. Some are patting the cop on the back for great shooting. Cop was simply fortunate no one else was hit.

I don't know about fired but disciplined for ill-advised decision to shoot.

The decision making by this cop in question is how cities get hit with $100,000,000 law suits. We already know how this cop reacts or over reacts when under stress. If a police department puts this cop back on the streets and kills an innocent person, this shooting will be used as evidence this police department never should have given him a weapon.

It never ceases to amaze me how any number of people can watch a video and derive any number of distinct (and contradictory) “facts.”

Ignoring just about everything else that is apparent in this tragedy, how do you suppose the suspect killed himself via self-inflicted gunshot without a weapon?

I remember though that he was a weird kid and suddenly changed and gave our coach the finger one day and was told not to come back.
