Who are the darkhorses? Who are the individual favorites ?
Men:
1. Western State
2. Colorado School of Mines
3. Sioux Falls
4.Grand Valley State
5. Adams State
6. Missouri Southern
7. Queens (NC)
8.Augustana
9.Alaska Anchorage
10. Chico State
This is actually pretty realistic.
Adams and GV are in big trouble. No depth, no low sticks, lots of questions. If they dont piece something together, we could see someone new on the podium. Weak year for D2
Western and Colorado Mines waaay out in front. Western has the edge over Mines with Jama returning.
Any other dark horses besides Souix Falls?
Is this a list of some of the worst academic colleges in the US?
maybe it was an eligibility issue? he didn't run track last season.
Individuals Per Stride Report which looks like just top 10 guys that return from the meet
1. Gideon Kimutai- Missouri Southern
2. Taylor Slack- Western
3. Mason Phillips- Souix Falls
4. Wesley Kirui- Alaska Anchorage
5. Charlie Sweeney- Western
6. Christian Noble- Lee
7. Anthony Raftis -Queens
8. Tanner Chada- GVSU
9. Logan Ramlet- Mines
10. Jacob Klemz- Washburn
Guys like Titus Winders-SIU, Karim Achengli-NW Missouri, and Christian Noble-Lee plus some others would definitely be contenders too but will be interesting to see what teams bring a guy like Missouri Southern did in Gideon
You forgot Stonehill. They've been improving and I think they'll be challenging for a top 10.

They lost 3 of their top 4, probably gonna be a rebuilding year for them....
Men's Individual Winner
Elias Gedyon, heard he's got another year somehow? I also heard they recruited Enael Woldemichael....
Isn't he like 29?
Flotrack has started their rankings so far with
10. Augustana
9. Chico State
8. Alaska Anchorage
I know they have 2 low sticks but I dont see this being a top 10 team with not hiring a distance coach and barely having enough to field a team.
This is why rankings are worthless in our sport.
In the sport of track&field and cross country there is only number that matters and that is results on the day. Can't live in the past and can't live in the future.
November 23rd is the only "ranking" that matters for the current season.
Was ineligible last Spring because of school...Maybe he didn't get his act together and got the boot. Who knows for sure.
He was trying to sell his Nationals watch after the meet last Fall so definitely a bit braindead.

We'll see. They have some other guys who put together strong track seasons. If those guys can get it going in XC, UAA could still be a top-10 team.

Ramlet not on Mines roster

That is a huge loss for Mines. Top 3 are gone which means the south will rise again with Queens coming in ranked 7th
Titus Winders eligible? Didn't race indoor or outdoor...rumor was grades
