My very own hot ass is excrutiatingly inspirational.
It is a part of me, and when I stop running for a while I feel like a big part of my life is missing. Plus I love how all the girls always tell me I look good! I'm not a rail, but am very toned and have good muscle definition thanks to running. So that also inspires me.

Those runs where the weather is great, the scenery is beautiful and you get a second wind after a few miles of agony and feeling like you won't be able to finish. When that second wind hits and I can pick up the pace and hold it all the way home, overcoming the pain and fatigue; that's a great feeling.
At this age, still fitting in the same clothes I wore last year.

I am about 3 pounds heavier than high school and high school was almost 30 years ago. When I look at other, non-running fathers my age and even younger I know why I run. I look great.
To stalk a deer to exhaustion after many miles and to put my corn soaked hand over it's nose and mouth to suffocate and make it's meat holy and then feed my family and tribe.
