I am in Europe right now and found this plastic bottled drink that says "After Exercise" sport drink. It is quite popular. It is orange in color and a thicker consistency than regular sports drinks.. It is however fairly sugary but uses at least 4 or 5 different sugars, like Maltodextrin and some other ones I have never heard of. Why did they do this? Is this really a sport drink or one masquerading as one? If I had to guess I would say it's a sophisticated sports drink and they use the different sugars to get a certain absorption rate or something. Any guesses?
