On further presentation of evidence:
I personally think it's time for the posts of further evidence of FM cheating to stop. Even if someone found a video of him riding a bike by a timing mat with a sign that read, "I'm cheating my way to a world class marathon time", I wouldn't care at this point. I don't need anymore evidence, I hope he rests in peace, and I hope his friends and family get the closure they need.
On the odd surge of posts almost threatening potential lawsuits related to "cyberbullying":
Something is . . . odd about these posts. I'll just leave it at that. They almost seem to be baiting. I again hope Dr. Meza's friends and family get the closure they need, and I understand an emotional reaction in the aftermath of a tragic death.
On the threats against Mr. Murphey and Marathon Investigations:
It is my belief these are completely out of line. Derek took a reasonable and calculated approach to Dr. Meza's cheating accusations, presenting accusations fairly and providing Dr. Meza the opportunity to comment. Many news outlets also covered the story, including at least one who took a camera crew to his house and knocked on his door. I don't think that was over the line either - but it was certainly further than Marathon Investigations went. I suspect someone has an axe to grind with MI and is posting here.
On the original thread and people that suggested the AMA and Loyola High School be contacted, along with those posting online reviews and ... What not:
Over the line in my opinion. It may be legally defensible, but it's personally amoral. I again think these types of posts (especially the people encouraging others to go leave negative reviews for his business) should be moderated.
In summary, RIP Dr. Meza (and Ed Whitlock).
