She wouldn’t stand a chance, not even in a tactical race. Field is too deep. Muir, Hassan, Dibaba, Kipyegon, tsegauye Simpson, etc
In the steeple, she has a chance of medaling.
1500?
Wouldn’t even get out of the rounds.
Her chances would go up, especially in a tactical race! Have you seen her run any of the 1500s/miles she has raced? She always has a monster kick. She out kicked Shelby at US indoors, in addition she almost ran dan Jenny Simpson at the Fifth Ave mile running a 4:19 PR.
She doesn't even do much speed work in practice, her training is very strength based! I have no doubt that if she spent time doing 1500 training and a season dedicated to 1500 racing she is certainly sub 4 caliber!
Dude here best outdoor time is 4:03...and no one takes indoors seriously. It’s for getting prepared for the season.
She’s 26 going on 27 , too late in the game to try drop down. Usually, runners go up, maybe if she went up to 5000m or 10000m where America needs some top runners since Sission and huddle have moved on to the road.
But 1500? It would be a waste of time.
She came in 7th at pre in the steeple, not bad. I could see here sneaking in and getting a bronze, because African runners are crappy jumpers and some times have a crappy race because of it . Emma freaking won the WC for crying out loud.
