Anyone catch Jakobs lat 400m split??
I just rewatched it, 54 seconds or 53.9 or 54.1
Wind was -0.1 for the 200m
What a frigg'in meet!!!!!

Surely Jakob's gonna burn before too long, right?
No chance. They train smart. Threshold all day.
Holy smokes Noah Lyles
"We're not in top form yet"
Jakob
He likes the outer lanes with others chasing and his sensational closing speed. Less time on the turn, less chance of trailing the better.
Filip and Jakob were just interviewed on Norwegian TV.
They are saying that they are getting into shape, but still have some more work to be done.
The plan is to run faster in Monaco.
The last two events 1500 & 200 were just fantastic.
We'll see about that. I'm sure he'll continue improving and do big things, but he just seems a bit too precocial for a long career at the top
Into a micro-headwind!!!
We all knew this was possible after his 100m win, especially with the way he finished.
I think he’s better now tha Lewis was. I always believed Lewis to have had 19.6-low capability after his windmilled 19.75, but a windless 19.50 is epic.
?

You sure you go far enough in your pessimism?
Lyles was incredible and also a nice PB for Aaron Brown after running the 100m earlier.
I think it's just about appropriate this time

Watch again, definitely not faster than 55.

great word usage.
Solid progression from ADG, well done.
But let’s face it, Lyles is in a class of his own at the moment. Everyone else will be fighting for silver.

The women's 400 was super fast but many people think we may have another Caster Semenya situation coming soon.
I understand what you are saying but how shoudl we at letsrun approach this issue. Do we mention what we are seeing or just ignore it until it officially is a story?
Any advice?
Didn't they teach you that in journalism school?

Yes, excellent racing from spots 1-4. Yes the bit of elevation helps, but whatever.
Nice that there is differentiation at the top of the 100 and 200. For my money CC os faster over 100, and Lyles over 200. Each currently reigns over a different event, and I don’t see any one of them winning both.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
