-0.1 wind. Wowzers. He looks more like a man now.
Look at second place 9.87
I’m honestly not sure if that’s a better performance than Coleman’s 100 at Stanford. All day that Stanford track seemed slow as hell, and he ripped a 9.80 or something.
These guys are both legit all time greats. And I tend to think they are clean.
Noah Lyles runs 19.50 into a headwind. This generates 4 posts so far despite the letsrun staff practically begging us to check this story out on the front page. Meanwhile, the various Frank Meza threads generate hundreds of posts even with heavy moderation.
Today, this site is full of letsrun degenerates blaming the letsrun staff for everything that is wrong with the site. But here's the thing... hundreds of posts vs. 4 posts. It's time for the letsrun degenerates to point their fingers in the direction of the nearest mirror.

No doubt they are the new face of sprinting. But What makes you think they are clean?
Only a few posts because there is a Lausanne DL thread on which it is discussed.
19.50 is sick!
Gotta be at least, as clean as Bolt!

It’s laughable how “clean” some of these athletes are. The drugs are getting better, and harder to detect. Of course, politically lyles is probably protected too. Anyone here venture to say Gatlin is off the sauce?
We could be looking at gold for Coleman in the 100m, gold for Lyles in the 200m, gold for Norman in the 400m, gold for Benjamin in the 400mH (if eligible), and gold for the U.S. at 4x1 with Coleman and Lyles, and gold for the U.S. at 4x4 with Lyles (I really think with his 200 closing speed he could run a sub 44 split easily), Benjamin (if eligible), and Norman, plus Fred or Kahmari. We are back in the sprints.
...don't forget Yohan Blake's 19.44 at the Olympics. Kudos to Lyles though, sick time and performance regardless. It is the 5th fastest time in history.

I can’t believe more people aren’t talking about this incredible 9.87 200m time.

No, 19.50 is the 8th fastest time in history. Lyles is the 4th fastest performer.

Don't forget Grant or Roberts in the 110mhs. Lyles won't run the 4x4 but I hope they let him run the 4x1 even though he says he doesn't plan to run the 100m at USAs which could hurt his eligibility for the relay pool. My A team 4x1 for the US is Coleman to Gatlin to Holloway to Lyles. Holloway runs a curve like noone else, which is the reason Florida broke 38.00. Current A team 4x4 has Trevor Stewart, Montgomery or Kerley depending on how they shape up, and finished with Benjamin and Norman. Quincy Hall is also a good backup leg. I also really like Gillespie. I thought he was the dark horse for NCAAs and he put on a show. I do think the US has some people who could do well in a tactical 800 also. Brazier, Murphy, Harris, and Hoppel are all compelling athletes that could make it to finals at doha. A tossup for the 4x4 will be Tyrell Richard since he won indoors and dropped a 44.81 before getting hurt. Cherry and London are good prelim guys.

True. A lot of social conditioning going on to make sure that certain folks of the correct hues are protected, while those who are eh, handicapped by a lack of melanin will not find the same backing.

Anyone here knowledgeable enough to summarize lyles stack? Obviously the guy is very gifted but so are all his competitors. What about Norman? What are these guys using, that has allowed them to get close to world record territory?
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
