Women’s track, MMA, soccer world beaters!
This is just bizarre.
You ever watched a Samoan run??? Don’t think they’ll be breaking any world records regardless of identity, they are massive units.
Can't help but think of The Wild Samoans in pro wrestling. There are about a dozen younger rasslers related to Sika and Afa. The Rock the most famous then there is Roman Reigns.
Don't think anyone in that family was girly.
Most American men are part female now a days anyway.
Seems like the concept would be a healthy outlet for gender dysphoria. Obviously as long as it was out of choice and not family expectations like the one example in the story. Instead of needing gender reassignment and all this drastic stuff to feel normal you can just be a dude who is feminine and that’s ok. It obviously doesn’t affect or bother the rest of the samoan men who are pretty masculine and very confident in their masculinity.
Wow, you people are so provincial. Do you ever read about anything other than the weekend's football game? Have you ever traveled and not stayed in a Holiday Inn?
Numerous cultures have dimensions of gender beyond what you saw at your hick high school.
Another example:

Wow. Some people are transgender. This is news?
It takes a lot of alt-language to say dudes who consider themselves female and have sex with other dudes aren't gay.

Valerie Adam's is Samoan. Imagine her with a bunch of free testosterone.
It's not the point of the thread, but Valerie Adams is of Tongan (and English) descent. Kiwi discus thrower Beatrice Faumuina was of Samoan extraction.

Samoan men's national records for the running events are far superior to the women's world records up through the mile. Beyond that it would appear very few Samoan men have taken a serious stab at running fast or they literally are not capable.
Personally I worry more about the Fa'afafine Samoans creating a women's team for soccer. The majority of the opposing team would probably end up in the hospital needing reconstructive knee surgery.
A Fa'afafine is a key player in this film:
More cultures than not recognize a third gender. The USA is the exception rather than the norm.

Interesting, I was mistaken, I guess I just assumed she was Somoan.
To be fair, though, they're genetically almost indistinguishable, so Valerie Adams is still a good stand-in for Somoan potential. Somoans and Tongans make up a disproportionate portion of the NFL. But I assume only Somoa has the "fafa" culture discussed?
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
