Murphy 3rd, got boxed in pretty bad with 150 to go and Manny Korir and Amos had already gotten 4-5 meters on them. You can't spot those guys that much with 120 to go. Made a late charge though, just never closed the gap.

1500m is strung out, dibaba stuck on rabbits
Tight battle between Dibaba and Hassan to the wire, both 3:55's, PR for Hassan
Tsegay 3:57, Arafi 3:58, Embaya, Nanyondo and Simpson 3:59

What a race, lots of nr and pb’s
They went out so hard I thought dibaba was done for
Never I thought I would see the day where Dibaba ran 3:55 again.
Murphy could have won that race had he not got boxed in. He looked up for it. That was nice strong outing.
He might just podium at the WC. I think him and Brazier are going to medal.
Gabby Stafford and Eilish McColgan 4:00.46 and 4:00.97 slight PR's for both. They've been doing well so far this season.

10 of the 14 finishers PRed (10 PBs, 3 NRs, and SR & MR for Dibaba).

Yeah wow, what a race for everyone
Hassan 65:15/3:55PB 9 months apart. Cracey.
McColgan continues to move up along with Stafford.

I think if it's semi-tactical like it was today, their medal chances come down to tactics. For Brazier it'll be more about handling rounds and for Murphy, being more aggressive on the 3rd 200m. You have to get yourself out of that box on the backstretch.
I think there's supposed to be a 1500m in Monaco this year, I would love to see Hassan and Dibaba and Muir all go after it again like in 2015. Hassan faded last time to 3:56 (pr before today). and Muir ran 3:58, but Muir and Hassan have both ran 3:55 and unless Dibaba gets her EPO in time she won't be running 3:50 again. I think we might see her go 3:53 though.

What?
She pretty much ran that last week, and she ran 3:56 last year. She looks in great, great form this year. She looks more relaxed and focused. However, I don't want to see her running a lot of DL races. So far in the DL, she has run 3000m, and and 2 1500m. Save that form for the WC. But I think she is in 3:53 shape right now. ...just hope that she does not burn out or get injured. She looked good last year at the beginning of the year, but then got injured, and wasn't the same for the rest of the year.
Its going to be interesting to see what form Kipyegon is in after returning from maternity leave.

There's a high jumper from Kenya who just jumped 2.31? Impressive, never heard of him.

What was the time period between Kejelcha's 59:19 and 3:46?
ADG ftw in 20.19 over Guliyev.
2-for-2 on my sprint predictions in Rabat. With that kind of time, Guliyev may have taken this one. I get the strange feeling that he’s playing a bit of possum, same as ADG did a few years back.
