That sux.
How could Hasay possibly run such a crap time? I don't want to hear "she's in the middle of an intense training block" or "she's building back up from Boston". I never ran a 2:20 marathon, not even close. But when I was in shape to run low-2:30's, a 34-minute 10k was nothing. I could have done that the day after a hard workout. And I was definitely nothing special. It's not even marathon pace for her. I just don't see how, in a race that she travels to, and a race that has at least some prestige (plus good prize money), she could possibly run that slow.
I'd kill for a 34-minute 10k.
My doppelganger didn't do well but there's time to improve. She just can't get "tangled" up into bad habits. ;)
