Didn't Grant Fisher run 13:23? Or am I misremembering. Did he just miss out on the world standard? Is he better suited to the 1500?

Who put Almgren in heat 4 in the 1500?? He Semenyad that field.
Men's 1500's seem slow so far, compared to the last couple of weeks where a handful of men went under 3:40.. With another handful in the low 3:40's.
We've turned this into the official discussion thread.
I like how it feels like we're back in the late 90s and early 00s.
Getting results from a live result board ...
Discussing it on a message board ...
Well, screw distance running PPV.

Stanford now has SIX guys under 13:48 in the last two weeks.
That's a helluva X-C team right there. (Though I can't actually remember off the top of my head which of those guys still has eligibility left.)
37 year old Gym teacher, Lander Tijtgat, wins the B Heat of the 5k with a solid time of 13:40.
I love stories like this.

Think it's probably four of them (leaving Fisher and Fahy), but I could be wrong.
Ok I logged in only to figure out what my log in is.
Men's 1500 is on the track so i'll give you play by play.
Murphy is only near pacer. He's about 3 meters back at 141 at 700.
156 at 800. Rest of field 157 (Fisher and Paulson).
Fisher is bridging gap to Murphy. At the bell.
Murphy 241. Fisher is abou 3 meters back. Then McGorty about 2 meters back.
256 at1200.
310 at 1300. Murphy CRUSHED EVERYONE last 200.
Actually in the last 50, Domanic came back on him. Murphy may tied up a little at the end.
337.59.
Fisher only 339.60.
Not particularly fast times.
Rojo, who's gonna win the woman's 5k?
watch here, kinda, not really wrote:

No idea. Who's in it?I'm going to bed.
Murphy said he was hoping to run faster than 336.

Jenny B
Not Jenny Simpson is my prediction for the women's 5000.
I assume Meraf Bahta will win.
Women's 5k off!
Murphy wanted to run sub 3:36.
Everyone ran well, but I have to say, I felt like most of the field ran scared, especially given how hard Brown and Domanic closed in the final stretch.
Fisher pushed hard the third lap and blew up because of it.
