As I've said before, Casual Observer is likely a Russian troll here to propagate the view that doping is universal and that therefore the treatment of Russian athletics by the IAAF is unfair.
A Russian troll? That's hilarious! ?
It would be interesting to look into when Casual Observer started posting here, and Rekrunner too.
There was a thread here recently where some Python expert had mined data as to the number of posts each user had made over the years. It might be illuminating if he or somebody else looked at whether doping apologist posts went up after Russia was banned (or the scandal broke).
If there are no Russian trolls (or to give them a bit more due respect - 'agents') here, then I would say that the Russian Intelligence Agency are missing a trick. It seems hard to believe that given all the resources that the Putin government has very intelligently put into online info wars (including the Fancy Bears over this very issue), that a spare agent or two can't be employed on the world's leading running forum, to spread 'propaganda' over something that has clearly affected Russia's image in the world.
In fact, you'd have to be daft in the head not to think so. Apparently, the IAAF and Seb Coe covering up British athletes is not a whacko conspiracy theory, but a world superpower intelligence agency known for employing thousands of online trolls, and launching audacious hacks on the IAAF to balance Russia's image in the sport, would NEVER spend one on the world's leading running site. That's just plain 'moon landings were faked' level conspiracy theory. LOL!
BTW, Ivan, I've supported Putin online for years and year, so on the balance, I've been good for him, so forgive me for standing up for the idea that not EVERY athlete dopes! (And I think other countries should have been banned and that Russia should be readmitted for Tokyo!).
PEACE! :)
