@ Jeff- any ideas when the Hyperburst "Elite" racing shoes are coming out? I tried the VPs but they don't fit me at all (too narrow).
Summer release is the best I have atm... I agree, I am really hopeful for this one...

So after trying the Gorun 7 Hyper in my normal size, my opinion is mixed.
The midsole feels great. The knit material feels fine. It doesn't feel to stretchy.
The upper is too voluminous though. It seems to run a tad long too. I might try a half size down.
It doesn't appear that stretch will be an issue. Tightening the laces as much as possible gave decent lockdown in the midfoot without discomfort and left a roomy toebox. I think a half size down might be best still though to get that sock-like fit.
My impression of this being a Skechers Hyper Burst version of the Epic React was pretty spot on. Light, simple knit upper, flexible, stable, and bouncy midsole. It runs a bit smoother than the Razor 3 Hyper and could work as a daily trainer partner to that shoe.

How many hours did you cry when Mo lost again

Tony the Tiger jumped off London Bridge, sadly he got a mouthful of whatever is in the Thames. I blame Mo.

I agree that they were tight in the midfoot, and i don't even have big feet. Still run in them occasionally though.
For me there's a lot of volume at least compared to the Peg 35. I even though that I should go half size down but it was not the case. I just had to learn to tie the laces really tight. After that it has been a great shoe. Have already 725 K in them.

You have me confused w someone else... I don't really have an opinion on Mo one way or the other since he left the track...
I "raced" a half in the GR7H over the weekend... (didn't know about it until the Tuesday the week of, and got a free entry, so essentially just used it as a fast-ish long run). Figured that as long as I didn't care about the race and it wasn't costing me anything, I may as well try out something new.
I gotta say, the shoes did great. Granted, I am using bungee laces and weaving them all through the side webbing to get a good lockdown, but they were fine for a Half. Good cushion, great energy return... two sections where you just bomb downhill (abt 500ft of climbing and descent over 4-5 miles), and they protected me really well. I don't plan on using them to race in anymore - still prefer the Razor 3 and Floatride Fast - but I will definitely use these on both Long and Tempo runs.
I was just thinking of using them as a lower drop daily trainer for normal/easy runs. The voluminous fit shouldn't be too much of an issue since I am not using it for fast running. Tightening the normal laces all the way and using the flywire-like things as an extra lace loop locked down the midfoot enough, but I do wonder if I should try a half size down for a better fit.
Just wear the Epic React. This isn't difficult.
Thanks Jeff. Looking forward to the review

Still unwilling to try crap Skechers shoes, they can't be any better than crap Nike or Saucony shoes.
Hi,
Wondering if there is any updates regarding the Skechers GO run ride 8, release date, specs etc . Hardly anything on the net.
Cheers
Steve
I heard the name Edward Cheserek mentioned in a Skechers radio commercial yesterday. Nearly drove off the road.
All you sketchers haters are nuts, Sketchers and Nike are making the best running shoes you can buy at the moment and have been for at least 2 years now. The Razor 3 is perfection on my feet.

Speaking of perfection on my feet, the Saucony Ride ISO 2 is about as close as it gets for me! The combination of the EVERUN Topsole with the PWRFOAM midsole creates lasting comfort while on the go, that will respond to every step along the way. Paired with the dynamic ISOFIT upper, which creates a seamless 1-to-1 fit, it's a shoe that will work for just about everyone who's in the business of comfortable shoes!
waaait on the best. Their uppers still suck as compared to Nike. The razor had a terrible mid foot width and the max road is a giant warm sock. Why cant they just a simple engineered upper.

I just finished my review for the GRR8.
-great training shoe. abt 9oz for a US9, plenty of Hyperburst cushion. Rocker shape is a little muted, but definitely there
-more structure in the upper than in the GOrun 7, for sure. The knit upper is way better than the MaxRoad 4, even though both bunched up on my a little when I cinched down the voluminous fit. I did end up making a little cut on the outside of the 5th metatarsal on my right, E-width foot to relieve some pressure, but I do that with a lot of my shoes, so no real issue there. Order True to Size.
-Goodyear rubber on outsole is very good
-Should definitely be able to handle both Long runs and Tempo runs, but I would hesitate to use it on anything faster than that
Very solid all-around shoes, worth a try!
Hi
TheJeff, is the upper very breathable like the Rebbok FFE. Did you compare it to the new saucony triumph 17? How does the 8 compare with that, cushion, response weight performance etc. Thanks.
cheers

The upper is actually a tad warm. Kinda like the Beacon, if the Beacon were knit.
I have never worn a Triumph, unfortunately, but I did compare it to the Carbon X, GOrun 7, Razor 3, Asics Glideride, and one or two others...
