Way to go Jared and Scott!
Finally. How long had it been?

No North Pole weather, no Americans first place.

Congrats. Now they can go to the Hobby Jogger Trials for a chance to get embarrassed again on the world stage. Can we get this board back to talking about real runners?
Apparently all of the best east africans are hobby joggers since the best just barely beat them and both Scott and Jared are ahead of about 800 of them on the IAAF list.
That was awesome. We will actually be sending 3 sub-2:10 marathoners to Tokyo now. And Hasay is BACK. Hope she can do an AR attempt this fall (or will most Americans skip the fall marathons due to the trials?)
1st clean runners across the line.
What happened to the Japanese? Inoue was one the top runners from there, and Yuki was supposed to do some damage.

No, they're not ahead of 800 of the "best east africans." Remove the word best and your statement makes sense.
Fantastic results for a fairly warm day on a hilly course and I think the wind was generally a crosswind, not a tailwind

6th at the Olympics is "also ran"
Awesome runs by both! Well done! It’s also nice that we have 2 Americans who are now just 3 minutes behind Rupp instead of 6.
Great job by each of these guys today. Nice to see them put themselves up there in that top pack and give it a go.

So US is now as fast as Ron Hill in the 60s? Well done!
I believe that the top-10 finishes in a WMM mean they are have met the Olympic criteria.

I’m faster than both and I once won a race in socks.
