Go to coolrunning.com and you will see.
i did that and found nothing. however, from experience i know that cool running doesn't have everything, so I'm trying another option here ...
If you want to get race something competitive in those two weeks, you will need to get off the road and into the mountains.
Max's Mountain Run, July 23, Girdwood - 2 miles, 3000' vertical uphill only. Will be well attended by mountain running specialists.
Matanuska Peak Challenge, July 30, Palmer - 14 miles, 9000' gain (and 9000' loss). An ass kicker - you have to be a tough bastard to win.
Arctic Valley Trail Run, August 3, Anchorage - 6K, 1500' gain, 2nd year race, might not be very competitive.
The road races that I see on the calender during your stay are probably going to be not very competitive (not that there aren't any competitive road races in AK).
thanks for the info. those all sound pretty brutal. i'm not worried about something i can win, just like to run a race when i visit a new state. thanks.
The Crow Pass Crossing near Anchorage, scheduled for July 16 has been rescheduled due to smoke from forest fires. Its now July 23. You can get registration info at a web site contained in an earlier link:

It is about 26 miles through spectacular country and includes a glacial river crossing and a good chance for bear sightings.
